Innstidalur - Vörðu-Skeggi

Distance = 7,2 km (From Sleggjubeinsdalur)

Rather steep at first.

From Innstidalur (on trail 2), the trail leads up a steep and narrow grass-covered ridge. Features a beautiful view over Innstidalur, a colorful hot spring area and a hotwater creek. The hike gradually ascends above the ridge where vegtation is sensitive, hence hikers are advised to stay on the visible path. A magnificent view to Þingvellir opens up close to the top, as the trail splits at an information post, one leading to Dyradalur and Nesjavellir (trail 13) and the one we follow to Vörðu-Skeggi (trail 13 D). - Trail D, ekki 13D!!
