Sleggjubeinsskarð - Vörðuskeggi

A difficult trail for those who are afraid of heights.

Starting at the information post in Sleggjubeinsskarð (on trail 2), the trail gradually ascends, revealing a view over Innstidalur. Further up, a magnificent view opens up to the west as the trail follows a narrow ridge with Innstidalur below on one side and Engidalur and Marardalur on the other side. A walking stick is essential as the path is narrow, with cliffs to one side and steep, rock slide to the other. The trail splits on the plateu above, one leading down to Marardalur (trail 9) and the one we follow to Vörðu-Skeggi (trail 13 B). - sama og á leið 9!!
